BANGER SHOT PIVOT 2.0
What happens when you give a photographer, a bunch of fearless Look athletes, and a wild imagination free rein?
You get a trilogy of chaos, color, and creativity.
BLUE STEEL
How to capture the color blue?
Especially when, instead of bringing you down, it sends you up. Photographer Louis Garnier set out to express this inversion at Avoriaz, France, inside the passage of a snow-filled tunnel. With smoke machines and blue lights blazing, the wind had to cooperate just right to catch the exact moment Look athletes Astrid Cheylus and Mateo Socquet nailed their marks—in perfect model behavior.
BLACK METAL
When we set out to capture the essence of darkness, photographer Louis Garnier enlisted Look athletes Edgar and Astrid Cheylus for a long-exposure of a massive freeride face at night—turning the dark into light. Unfortunately Astrid got injured just before the shoot, so Edgar hiked into place solo, waiting out the ominous sunset before painting this line with his headlamp.
ORANGE METAL
If there’s one thing that defines the Look Pivot, it’s energy. So when we picked the next colorway for Pivot 2.0—the most energy-absorbing binding on the planet—the full-blast force of a flamethrower seemed just right. Photographer Louis Garnier and athletes Mike Rageth and Kadi Gomis nailed the vibe in true urban style in this image: no poles, volume dialled to the max, and full send.
